Pay fees using your refund
In addition to your tax prep fees and other amounts, pay a $42 fee to open your Refund Transfer Account. Fees are due when services are complete.

Get your remaining refund by direct deposit, in a Spruce account, on an H&R Block Emerald Prepaid Mastercard® (an existing Emerald Card if filing online), or by check for an additional $25 fee (if filing with a pro).

A $42 Refund Transfer Account fee will be debited when your refund is deposited to the account you set up when you filed.
Optional paper check fee
If you’d like your remaining balance via check, an additional $25 fee applies. Available when filing with a tax pro only.
A Refund Transfer Account is an optional tax refund-related product provided by Pathward®, N.A., Member FDIC. $42 fee applies. This is a bank deposit product, not a loan.
